이란, 아제르바이잔 2014 난징 유스올림픽 태권도 경기 네째 날 금메달 1개씩 차지

여자 -63kg 체급 경기에서, 이란의 키미아 알리자데 제누린(Kimia Alizadeh Zenoorin)이 러시아의 율리아 투루티나(Yulia Turutina)를 결승전에서 10대7로 누르고 금메달을 차지했다.

 

지난 3월 열린 2014 난징 유스올림픽 태권도 선발전에서 은메달을 차지한 알리자데 제누린은 준결승전에서 콜롬비아의 데비 나탈리아 요파사 고메스(Debbie Natalia Yopasa Gomez)를 12대2로 꺾고 결승에 진출했다.

 

동 체급에서 콜롬비아의 요파사 고메스와 주최국 중국의 첸장(Chen Zhang)이 동메달을 각각 차지했다.

 

터키의 IOC 집행위원인 우구르 에르데너(Ugur Erdener)가 프란조 프랏(Franjo Prot) 크로아티아태권도협회장과 함께 동 체급 시상식에서 우승자들에게 메달과 마스코트를 수여했다.

 

남자 -73kg 체급에서 아제르바이잔의 사이드 굴리예프(Said Guliyev)가 결승전에서 독일의 함자 아드난 카림(Hamza Adnan Karim)를 10대4로 역전승하며 금메달을 차지했다.

 

지난 3월 열린 2014 난징 유스올림픽 태권도 선발전과 2014세계청소년선수권대회에서 각각 은메달을 차지한 굴리예프는 준결승전에서 이집트의 세이프 에이사(Seif Eissa)를 8대1로 이기고 결승에 진출했다.

 

이란의 다니알 살레히메르(Danial Salehimehr)와 이집트의 에이사가 동 체급 동메달을 목에 걸었다.

 

장웅 북한 IOC 위원이 아나톨리 테레코프(Anatoly Terekhov) 러시아태권도협회장 겸 세계태권도연맹 집행위원과 함께 동 체급 시상식에서 우승자들에게 메달과 마스코트를 수여했다.

 

5일간의 일정으로 난징국제엑스포센터 D홀(Nanjing International Expo Center Hall D)에서 열리고 있는 태권도 경기에는 59개국에서 총 100명의 선수와, 남자 10명, 여자 10명 총 20명의 국제심판이 참가하고 있다. 난징 유스올림픽 태권도 경기에는 남자 5, 여자 5, 총 10개 체급 경기가 치러지며, 매일 남자 1, 여자 1 체급 경기가 열린다.

 

 

Iran, Azerbaijan Clinch 1 Gold Medal Each on 4th Day of Taekwondo Competition at 2014 Nanjing Youth Olympic Games

 

NANJING, China (Aug. 20, 2014) -- Iran and Azerbaijan won one gold medal each on the fourth day of the taekwondo competition at the 2014 Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing, China on Aug. 20, 2014.

 

In the women's -63kg weight division, Iran's Kimia Alizadeh Zenoorin brushed aside a stiff challenge from Russia's Yulia Turutina to win the final match 10-7 for the gold medal.

 

Alizadeh Zenoorin, the silver medal winner at the WTF Taekwondo Qualification Tournament for the 2014 Nanjing Youth Olympic Games in March this year, advanced to the final match by crushing her semifinal opponent, Colombia's Debbie Natalia Yopasa Gomez, 12-2.

 

The bronze medal went to Colombia's Yopasa Gomez and host China's Chen Zhang in the same female weight division.

 

Dr. Ugur Erdener, an IOC Executive Board member from Turkey, presented medals to the winners of the female weight category, together with Franjo Prot, president of the Croatian Taekwondo Federation.

 

In the men's -73kg weight division, Azerbaijan's Said Guliyev came from behind to defeat his final-match opponent, Germany's Hamza Adnan Karim, 10-4 for the gold medal.

 

Guliyev, the silver medalist both at the WTF Taekwondo Qualification Tournament for the 2014 Nanjing Youth Olympic Games and the 2014 World Junior Championships last March, reached the final match by beating Egypt's Seif Eissa 8-1 in a semifinal match.

 

Iran's Danial Salehimehr and Egypt's Eissa each took home the bronze medal in the same male weight category.

 

Ung Chang, the IOC member of the Democratic Republic of Korea, presented the medals to the winners of the male weight category, together with Anatoly Terekhov, president of the Russian Taekwondo Union and a WTF Council member.

 

The five-day taekwondo competitions take place at the Hall D of the Nanjing International Expo Center, drawing a total of 100 young athletes from 59 countries. Twenty international referees, 10 males and 10 females, officiate at the taekwondo competitions. The taekwondo competitions feature five male and five female weight divisions, and matches of two weight categories are conducted every day.
